The next two weeks are spring break for me, and we have organized a big European family vacation. Katie’s mom, dad, and sister (Cindy, Dave, and Stephanie Borgen) flew into Brussels from the U.S. Friday morning. Steph’s boyfriend, Keagan, arrived in Ghent by train a couple of hours later from Muenster, Germany, where he is studying. It is so nice to see familiar faces from home. We spent yesterday in and around Amsterdam, and today we visited a castle in Deinze, a village just south of Ghent. We have plans to explore Belgium, Paris, and the east coast of Spain. I likely won’t be blogging from the road, but I promise a thorough account of our travels upon our return. Happy Easter!

Hello!! 2 weeks have come and gone. I hope that all is going well and you had a great vacation with everyone. Hope to hear from you all soon. I check your blog every couple days and miss the updates.

All is well! This whole month of April has crazy. In fact, I have a dozen posts worth of pictures and stories to share from the last few weeks (well over 1000 pictures to sort through), but I haven’t had time to get them on the blog yet. Cindy and Dave, Katie’s mom and dad, were scheduled to leave Brussels for the U.S. April 16th, but because of the Icelandic volcano they ended up being stranded here until April 23rd, the same day MY mom and aunt arrived for a one week visit. On top of all the travel chaos and hosting of guests, I played a concerto with the school orchestra the 25th and have an early clarinet master class with Eri Hoeprich tomorrow, the 28th. Our Norwegian friend, Merethe, will be with us this weekend.
I am anxious to get the blog up to date, but it won’t be until next week sometime once things calm down. I am glad to have such a faithful reader as you!
