About Dan

Family man, musician, NoMi resident, expat (for now).  I am pursuing a career as a professional clarinetist, and for now that means a 10-month post-doc fellowship studying in Ghent, Belgium.  I’m here with my wife (Katie) and two kids (Wes and Vera), and the blog is just a way for me to keep everyone up to date on our lives and to create a record our adventure for posterity.
